Do you sense the Lord might be leading you to plant a new church? Whether you are just beginning to ask this question or becoming more and more drawn to the idea, the Great Lakes District is here to support your journey. We are thankful for our strong partnership with ReachNetwork – the church multiplication ministry of the Evangelical Free Church of America whose mission is to multiply transformational churches among all people.
Church planting can be daunting! Where does one even begin? Our desire is to come alongside you in this journey. We support church planters through four core systems:
Assessment
During the assessment process we help you discern whether church planting is a good next step for you and provide guidance about how you can grow into that calling. While assessment might sound like an interview to get a job, that is NOT our goal. Our goal is to serve you by helping you discover and discern what God is calling you to next.
Coaching
Our church planters are provided with a coach to ensure that you don’t walk along in this great adventure. Our coaches are certified by ReachNetwork and have a wealth of experience to draw upon.
Training
With a cohort of other planters, you will be trained through a dynamic learning experience that will help you both develop and implement a strategic plan for planting a church that is true to your unique gifting and calling and contextually fitting to the community you are planting in.
Care
At the district level, our Superintendent staff serves as the shepherd to the shepherds which includes you! You will be connected to pastors in your area through local ministerials so that you have a community of pastors to serve with. At the national level, we offer a care system for both the planter and his wife that includes an awesome retreat that you will not want to miss.
